Sculpfun S30 Pro Max Laser Engraver Rundown

The Sculpfun S30 Pro Max Automatic Air Assist laser engraver is an impressive piece of machinery that is perfect for hobbyists and small businesses alike. With its high-power laser module and automatic air assist feature, it can engrave and cut a wide range of materials with great precision and accuracy.

Sculpfun S30 Pro Max can engrave all kinds of materials, such as wood (including walnut, cherry and other high-density wood), MDF, zigzag, cardboard, plastic, leather, PCB board, aluminum oxide, 304 stainless steel, ceramic, dark stone

It can also cut all kinds of materials, such as wood (including walnut, cherry and other high-density wood), MDF, acrylic board, cardboard, non-woven, bamboo, leather, some plastic boards, PCB boards

One of the standout features of the Sculpfun S30 Pro Max is its automatic air assist feature, which gives you 30L/min of airflow and is connected to the mainboard so it can regulate the amount needed for the job you are doing. We are not 100% sure of the necessity of this function, but it is a neat feature, nonetheless. In our testing over the years, best results for air assists have come with about 60L/min to 80L/min, when it comes to airflow. Now this can obviously fluctuate based on a few factors, but the main one is the diameter of the nozzle itself. We use a standard of 2mm diameter for our air assists, this seems to offer a large airflow and works perfectly for that L/min range. But again, this is all variable and should be tested on your specific engraver.

The Sculpfun S30 Pro Max offers a unique and versatile design with an expandable XY axis. The default engraving area is 370x363mm, but with the option to purchase a Y-axis expansion kit, the engraving area can be extended to a generous 935x400mm. If you need even more space, you can upgrade to the XY-axis expansion kit, which increases the engraving area to an impressive 935x905mm. This feature allows you to take on larger engraving or cutting projects with ease.

The S30 series laser engraver offers a revolutionary design with its replaceable lens feature. This innovative design significantly improves the service life of the laser, with a lifespan that is over 10 times longer than traditional laser engravers. The replaceable lens design allows users to easily replace the lens when it becomes damaged or after prolonged use, restoring the cutting power to its original level. The purchase of the S30 series comes with a complimentary lens, and additional lenses can be easily obtained from Sculpfun. This feature ensures that the S30 series laser engraver will have a long-lasting cutting power, making it a reliable investment for any business or hobbyist.

Another great feature of the Sculpfun S30 Pro Max is its 20W laser module which is its power claim - "Cut 10mm plywood in 1 pass". We did see a video by Daniele Tartaglia that shows the laser cutting 15mm in 2 passes! That's good enough for us.
